Just flew into Toronto last night, for a Toro Magazine Photo shoot.....what an AMAZING day!!!! We shot the most beautiful photographs. Thanks to everyone for such a great shoot! We were shooting in St Clair West (little Italy) It is a cool part of town. We did the 'interview' portion of the day at a little Italian Cafe called Tre Mari. It was lovely. The clothes were incredible and the entire day from start to finish was a pleasure. I catch the first flight out to LA in the morning...I'm so happy I get to celebrate a little part of Canada Day in Canada! Even though it will be spent at the Calgary Airport Tim Horton's by myself, at least I'll be in Canada..LOL. And well, if I really think about it Timmy's is the most Canadian thing ever so it's perfect. A double double and a bear claw....party...!
So yeah, that's it for now....check with my press section in a few days for details on the Toro shoot if you are interested, and ELLE Canada also....I think I'm in the september issue.

We lost a legend yesterday at age 50. Rest In Peace Michael Jackson. Los Angeles was busy yesterday with thousands of fans gathering at the hospital and also at his star on Hollywood Boulevard. I was doing a Red Carpet Event in Hollywood (at Les Deux) so it was literally around the corner to his star. I snuck out and walked around, celebrating his life with other fans. It was sad, but he has left a legacy and his music will live on.

Many thanks....
To all of my amazing friends and family. I was just thinking about my life and how lucky I am. I would not be where I am without my devoted fans, true friends and family behind me. It's a sappy post, but I have to acknowledge how grateful I am.
I got a ton of call after tonight's episode of Harper's!!! It was a good one. I love playing Shea. It's so dark, and challenging and different than anything else I've done. I like being a chameleon and manipulating my look and emotion for characters...which is the point I guess right? Why always want to play the same character? Plus such an amazing cast and professional crew it allowed for a very creative environment...just so much support all around. I can not say much about the show (as you all know) but I hope you are all enjoying it so far......stay tuned.....
What else...fighting a tiny bit of a cold...even though it's mad hot outside! Reading an amazing book "OUTLIERS" by Malcolm Gladwell. Listening to one of my fav albums "Phoenix" Alphabetical (2004) and just loving life in general....I have a big family visit next week in Vancouver that I am so excited for...
work wise...sorry....everything is still hush hush!

Just felt like saying hi again....I have this crazy rush of creativeness in my body again. I'm writing and singing and reading and loving life! There is so much I want to do this year. Wow this little bit of down time has done wonders for me. Has been such a busy year already, I needed that time to catch my breath....I love the ups and downs and challenges of life...don't you? Without the lows there is no chance for a high. Well, maybe some people stay neutral, but that's not for me. Shake it up, change it up. DO SOMETHING.

I start shooting my new project soon so I'm taking some 'me' time over the next couple of weeks till I start. It's been a crazy pilot season and with "Harper's" premiering it's been crazy busy!! So I'm going to cool out and not blog or anything for a while.
Thank-you ALL for the amazing letters etc! Especially Valerie.....I loved my card and CD! All of the music you sent is so fun and inspiring. It came at the perfect time, and means the world to me! Also a special thanks to Allen Hughes who sent me a wonderful birthday card as well.....you guys all inspire me SO much and I appreciate your support!

Wow! What an amazing day yesterday! Started off early in the studio then right to yoga and the beach. Super hot and so nice to be in the ocean. I was overwhelmed with birthday greetings from all you guys at "Kyles's Korner"!! Thank-you all so much!! I was asked what I miss about Vancouver (posted on my last blog) I miss the natural beauty, the air, and the over all sense of home that it holds for me. I mean, it's hard to explain, but I have alot of amazing memories from there and I just miss it!! I Love Los Angeles and living here has always been great, but there is nothing like the vibe in Vancouver. Not to mention all my friends and family that are there!! I hope that answers your question Anne!!

I have an amazing audition on Thursday that requires a dance background for the character, so I have been back in the dance studio!! So good to be doing ballet again, and I am mixing in lyrical with my routine. My body feels tired, but good! It's so exciting! My teacher is recording our sessions so I will try to post it here next week when I'm done. It's amazing how art helps soothe the soul and ease the mind....go take a dance class...cause if you can walk you can dance.
Food of the day? Taco truck on Rose in Venice....ridiculous good.

Today a song chose me. It was a crazy hectic day...working, driving in crazy LA traffic (which I actually love in a sick way) and just over-all busy...so I was tuning into alot of heavy metal, sort of forcing a "hard core" edge to my day, thinking that would match the energy. However a song kept coming on over and over and over! On the radio and satellite radio. It was 'Fleetwood Mac' DREAMS. I finally surrendered and listened to it really loud just now driving home. And it couldn't have been more perfect for so many different reasons...

Feb 27. WEAR PINK-Say NO to BULLIES!!
Hey everyone. Hard to believe it's that time of year already. I was thinking about today, and what it means. I have no official ties to this day, except for my own experiences. Which I guess is enough in itself. It's important to acknowledge days like today, because it means people are aware. Awareness is a success in itself. Wear pink today, or stand up for the little guy, or be cool and say hi to someone you may not normally talk to. That's a huge deal when your in elementary or high school. unfortunately this weird phenomenon of "bullying" doesn't just magically go away the older you get. It manifests itself in different ways. And being older you have more experience, and a skill set to deal with those people. And well, you also realize that anyone over the age of 25 who has nothing better to do than pick on, or gossip about or "whatever" about, is just a massive douche bag anyway, so it's really just a poor reflection on themselves!! But when you are a kid, it's really tough to understand why it's happening, and it's even easier to blame yourself. So here's what I have to say. It has nothing to do with you! You rock! and you are amazing! and just go out there and be yourself! It will be hard, but reach out to friends, parents, or teachers and talk about it!! I promise you will be stronger for it....
