An amazing event
17 July 2010

I have to say thank-you very much to the Matt Leinart Foundation for hosting such an incredible event in Los Angeles the other day. It was great to be invited to participate and donate to such a wonderful cause. Take a look at the link to see what a few of us had to say, and visit the Matt Leinart Foundation website to learn more about this wonderful charity!

Just fun stuff!
27 June 2010

So much fun stuff going on! Work is amazing, and summer is great. Spent all of Saturday boating which is by far one of the best ways to spend a day ever....going out again next week, and the away for the long weekend. Living by the ocean-- a boat is a must. I wish I was in one place long enough to actually get one...soon I hope.

Jazz fest going on right now, and tons of other stuff. World cup has the whole city in party mode so what more could I ask for! I start filming my next show in just over a week, so I am fitting in as many activities as I can until then....

love to y'all...xoxox

Clumsy
26 May 2010

song of the moment....OUR LADY PEACE

CLUMSY

Throw away the radio
Suitcase...Keeps you awake
Hide the telephone, the telephone
Telephone in case...You realize that
Sometimes your just not OK
You level out, level out, level out
It's not alright now...You need to understand
There's nothing strange out this
You need to know your friends...You need to know that

I'll be waving my hand
Watching you drown, watching you scream, quiet or loud
And maybe you should sleep
And maybe you just need...A friend
As clumsy as you've been there's no one laughing
You will be safe in here, you will be safe in here

Throw away this very old...shoe lace
Tripped you again
Try to shrug it off, shrug it off, shrug it off
Sow the skin now
You need to understand...there's nothing fake about this
You need to let me in...watching you and

I'll be waving my hand
Watching you drown, watching you scream, no one's around
And maybe you should sleep
And maybe you just need...A friend
As clumsy has you've been, there's no one laughing
You will be safe in here, you will be safe in...

I'll be wavin my hand...Watching you drown
Watching you scream...Quiet or loud
And maybe you should sleep
And maybe you just need...A friend
As clumsy as you've been, there's no one laughing
You will be safe in here, you will be safe in here

Back to work....

Down time=Slow cooking
26 April 2010

I am enjoying some "down time" while auditioning and planning new projects..It just "happens" to be play off season and yes, the Canucks won, yet again, and are now going to the second round...bye bye LA....besides watching every game, I am obsessed with Slow Cooking. I got it for Christmas and it is amazing. Today I got up early to put together "maple bacon corn chowder". OMG it smells so good, and it is all from scratch...even the maple bacon was slow cooked (in the oven) before adding it all together in the pot. I am so proud of myself!! Cooking is VERY new to me, but I am really enjoying it!!

While that deliciousness slow cooks -I am off to the dog park, car wash, gym then home to eat this amazing chowder! And tonight, I am getting crazy and making "maple bacon chocolate chip cookies" yes, you heard right, and I can't wait to try them. Salty and sweet...I have to take the first batch over to my brothers place, now that I told everyone I'm making them, I have to follow thru...doing this all now before I get too busy again...

Had some good times in Toronto despite the freezing weather....
One of my best friends owns the beautiful Jonathan+Olivia Boutique in Toronto so on my one and only day off, I spent the day shopping a hanging out with her at her store. I took the street cars and subway all around...it was so fun. I love adventures in new cities. Public transit is pretty fun most of the time. It can be funky but that's what I love about it. I get stopped alot from people wanting to talk about shows I've done and what I'm working on, and that's always neat.
Anyway, Jackie and I had such a fun time and it made my time in Toronto so much better! I work so much that I forget to get out and actually see the city I'm in! So thanks Jackie and staff for a great time...!!!

Just a reminder that I do not have any social networking sites. I know there are a couple great fan pages out there that are legit (thank you!) but it's been brought to my attention that a few more Facebook pages have popped up. I have no access to these and am not posting anything on them or any other social site, Twitter, MySpace etc.

Thanks everyone...!

Blog blues...
11 March 2010

I haven't blogged in a while cause I'm feeling like my blog sucks! There are so many great ones out there. I'm not loving mine so much! I just don't know, I don't really say too much so I'm not sure if they are good to read! I mean, for me it's like a little diary, that I censor a little of course, but not sure if what I'm actually feeling is getting across. Although I have written a ton in school, college etc, I am not a writer. I have finally started writing my screenplay and damn, I am terrible! My ideas are screaming to get out onto the page, but so far, it's not translating into what I had hoped. I feel this may take years, and thousands of revisions, but hey it feels amazing regardless. I have produced but never written. I've had this TV show in my head for about six years. I'm finally writing the pilot. But anyway that's when I started thinking about my blog and how that was translating as well!

Sooo...Thursday night. So beat. What a week. I just need sleep. wow. I just wrote that like a rhyme. A bad bad rhyme.
Ok so yeah, went Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles, then back up to Vancouver (next week) then back to Toronto again then....don't know. Have not decided. Things change on a dime. But needless to say, I am giving myself a night to relax. This pilot season has been amazing but so hard. SO close to two huge studio shows, tested for both but did not end up with either one in the end. So as thankful as I am for the opportunities, I am sad. And allowing myself to mourn! This job really takes the piss out of you, and many people cave, give in, and join the bitter train when things don't go their way. But I refuse to. It is after all, what I love to do, and with the ups, there are the downs and then you keep going. I will keep going! But tonight, is my night to curl up and feel sorry for myself. The good news? I'm in beautiful sunny hot California and will wake up to sun and run and a coffee. Life is good! Wait, I'm supposed to be bummed tonight...ok back to that!

Best treat, Pinkberry with blueberries, strawberries, and mochi. Screw you Yogurtland, I don't care how LA it is to switch, I'm staying with Pinkberry.

It was incredible..then see our boys take the gold in Hockey, downtown Vancouver with all my friends and Celebrate in the streets after!!! It was amazing....I love being in the middle of all the action...no standing on the side linea...get right in there and go for it!!! Here's couple pics of what was happening...ok...back to work!
